Face-to-Face Meeting with the Libyan State Audit Bureau
Monday, April 10, 2023, the Libyan Foreign Bank convened a critical face-to-face meeting with the Libyan State Audit Bureau. In attendance were several high-ranking officials, including Mr. Khaled Al-Gonsal, the General Manager of the Libyan Foreign Bank, along with his assistants and relevant department directors. Also present were Mr. Khaled Shakshak, the President of the Audit Bureau, Mr. Alaa Al-Maslati, the Undersecretary of the Audit Bureau, and competent department directors. The meeting's agenda encompassed a range of topics, including the current state of the Libyan Foreign Bank, its strategic priorities for the next stage, and the challenges confronting some of the bank's participations, The audit report of the bank was also discussed.
During the meeting, the President of the Audit Bureau emphasized the significance of adhering to the Bureau's observations and recommended strengthening the bank's governance frameworks and internal procedures. In response, the General Manager of the Libyan Foreign Bank affirmed the bank's commitment to the Audit Bureau's observations and recommendations. He further reiterated that the bank had commenced studying several issues and obstacles, collaborating with the Bureau to develop necessary solutions, highlighting his active role in advancing the bank's work. In conclusion, both parties agreed to continue holding meetings to discuss various issues continually and collaboratively find viable solutions.
